New 2023 Honda Odyssey Specs and Features

Honda

Overview

Minivans often get a bad rap, but the 2023 Honda Odyssey will make you think twice about that with its smooth ride, excellent handling, and fast V-6 engine. And if practicality is what you're looking for in a car, the Odyssey has got you covered there too.

The Magic Seat system in the novel allows positioning of second row seats in various ways, including a configuration to keep arguing kiddies separated. The third row disappears into a space below the floor to allow for more cargo room. The cabin isn't connected and tech-focused as those offered by rivals such as Chrysler Pacifica or Kia Carnival; however, the Honda's infotainment suite offers more than just necessities, including an optional rear-seat entertainment system to occupy youngsters .

What's New for 2023?

This year, a new mid-range Sport model joins the lineup. It comes with gloss black exterior accents, unique 19-inch wheels, black leather upholstery with red stitching, and red ambient interior lighting.

For the 2023 model year, Honda is only making slight changes to the Odyssey lineup. The most notable change is that all models will come with a complimentary scheduled maintenance plan that covers oil changes and other required dealership maintenance services for the first two years or 24,000 miles of ownership. Additionally, the base LX trim has been discontinued.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance

The Odyssey is a quick and smooth van that requires no trade-offs. It handles turns sharply, and it's easy to forget you're driving a vehicle that can seat six people comfortably.

The response to inputted steering is immediate, but light in pressure--although more feedback let drivers know what was happening with the tires would be ideal. Car enthusiasts likely won't go crazy over it since, at the end of the day, it's still a minivan. But among its peers, the Odyssey drives exceptionally well and smoothly;it even held up decently when taken on twisting roads or narrower paths. Our team specifically tested an Elite model and found that while its ride wasn't as consistent compared to our long-term Pacifica pick, standard 19-inch wheels might play a role in that dissimilarity .

The Odyssey we drove had 18-inch wheels and was much more comfortable driving on the pockmarked Michigan roads. Most passengers will not complain about the ride quality.

Will the Honda Odyssey be redesigned in 2023?

As mentioned above, the 2023 Honda Odyssey redesign provides affordable access to some truly incredible amenities. Highlights of the 2023 rendition include: LED headlights. Magic Slide® 2nd-row seats.

What is the difference between 2022 and 2023 Honda Odyssey?

The 2023 Honda Odyssey minivan will cost at least $700 more than the 2022 model, but it will include two years or 24,000 miles of factory scheduled maintenance called Honda Service Pass, Honda announced Tuesday. A new Sport trim shakes up the lineup as well. The base LX model will no longer be offered in 2023.

Does the 2023 Honda Odyssey have remote start?

After registering and enrolling in HondaLink®, one of the first things to try is the Remote Start feature that's part of the Remote subscription package. It allows you to start your car from anywhere you are at a time of your choosing. It also activates the climate control and preconditions the cabin.
